Banner Festival
The municipality of Saint-Louis-de-Kent participates in the Banner Festival that is also held simultaneously in Rexton and Richibouctou. This Festival is a community effort to creatively improve the aesthetics of these communities.
During the few months that the Festival runs, locals and visitors alike can admire the large banners that are hung from poles in the region. These lovely paintings are created by reknowned or emerging artists of all ages from Kent County.
The Banner Festival received the Racine award from the « Conseil provincial des sociétés culturelles du Nouveau-Brunswick », as the initiative of the year in cultural development.
Acadian Festival
The municipality of Saint-Louis-de-Kent celebrates the national holiday of Acadians on August 15th. Come join the celebrations to mark Acacdian pride. Don’t miss the « tintamarre », an activity that is big in both colour and sound.
In August 2009, there will be one more reason to celebrate: the 125th anniversary of the Acadian flag. The cradle of the Acadian flag promises a host of activities to mark this anniversary.
Musical Fridays at Daigle Park
During the summer, the public is invited to take part in an evening of music each Friday night at Daigle Park. Come hear and discover local talents during this friendly and fun evening.
