Household Waste

Weekly collection of household waste is made on Wednesday morning in Saint-Louis-de-Kent. Waste is separated according to the directives set forth by the wet/dry program of the Westmorland-Albert Solid Waste Corporation http://www.westmorlandalbert.com/french/program.htm and must be placed by the side of the street before 7 am.

Spring and fall pickups

A collection of large items is usually made in May and October each year. Branches from trees and bushes must not be longer than 1.5 m (5 feet) and must be tied in bunches no greater than 27 kg (60lbs). Tires will not be picked up. As in the case of weekly pickups, waste must be placed by the side of the street before 7 am.

Collection of dangerous household waste

The Kent Solid Waste Commission coordinates two annual collections of dangerous household waste, usually in the spring and fall. The deposit site alternates between the Kent municipalities.
